The 31st annual West Virginia Public Employees Golf Tournament is scheduled for May 8, 2023 at Pipestem Resort State Park. Open to current or retired federal, state, city, county, and public education employees. A shotgun start at 9:00am on the Championship Course at Pipestem Resort promises a great day of golf. The $60 per person fee includes greens fee, shared cart, a meal and pre-tourney range balls. Entry deadline is May 1, 2023. Steve Robertson is the tournament contact at 304 466 1800 Ext 474.

Trophies and prizes are awarded in both men’s and women’s division, Low Gross and Low Net (Calloway System), closest to the pin, long drive contest and optional skins game plus door prizes are planned.

Players needing a practice round on Sunday, May 7, 2023 are available in the afternoon starting at 1:00pm. Call 304-466-1800 ext 474. The fee is $32 plus tax for greens fee and cart.

Plan to stay at Pipestem Lodge. Room accommodations on Sunday, May 7 and/or Monday, May 8, 2023 is $70 per night not including taxes. Room reservations must be made by April 24, 2023 to take advantage of the WVPET room discount.

About the weather. This tournament goes on rain or shine. In the unlikely event of a total tourney rainout(course closure before completion of 9-holes by all players), a partial refund equal to the entry fee less fixed tourney costs will be made. Pipestem rain checks can also be issued.

This is a great tournament for men and women! The registration form asks for player names for a foursome or to play and be paired as possible. The field is limited to 92 golfers.
