Most cabins have modern amenities, while a few provide a rustic, off-the-grid experience. Different types of cabins are available at different parks across the system. Cabins by Type
Vacation Cabins
Vacation cabins vary park to park but generally are of wood frame construction and feature 2, 3- and 4-bedroom configurations with 1 or 2 bathrooms with showers. Amenities include fully equipped kitchens, linen service, central heat and air conditioning, gas or wood fireplace and an outside grill. Other amenities vary park to park.
Company Houses
The two-story company houses at Cass Scenic Railroad State Park are of spacious design. They range from 2, 3- and 4-bedroom configurations with bathrooms and showers, equipped kitchens, linen service and heat. Most houses are upgraded and renovated while some have a more vintage features.
Classic Cabins
Classic cabins are of wood frame construction and feature various room and bedding arrangements. They have fully equipped kitchens, linen service, bathrooms with showers, wood paneled walls, open fireplaces. Forced air heat and air conditioning is available in some cabins. Other amenities vary park to park.
Economy Cabins
These tiny cabins usually sleep only 2 to 4 guests in a studio layout with bunked twin or full-size beds. They have electric, water, a fully equipped kitchen, combined living/sleeping area, linen service, bathrooms with showers and an outside grill.
Legacy Cabins
Legacy cabins, also known as CCC cabins, are of wood frame or stone construction and feature various room and bedding arrangements. They come with electricity and water, a fully equipped kitchen, linen service, bathrooms with showers, wood fireplace and an outside grill.
Pioneer Cabins
Pioneer cabins are of wood frame construction and feature various bedding arrangements. The cabins of have gas lights, gas refrigerator, fully equipped kitchen, linen service, wood fireplace, outside toilet, water well and a grill. Before booking, guests should know that pioneer cabins do not have electricity or running water and that shower services are available at a central bathhouse located away from the cabin area.
