Twin Falls State Park invites you to hike on National Trails Day, June 3, 2023.

First things first, hikers will park and meet at Horsepen Knob trailhead parking area at or before 10:00AM. This trailhead is located on the back road of the park. Participants will meet Twin Falls State Park summer naturalist, Ace England and set foot. This is a 2½ mile loop with steep sections and goes through a varying forest and fields that are reverting back to the forest. We’ll pace ourselves for a great time on the trail. A trails day hiking patch is presented at the conclusion of the guided hike to each hiker.

Sturdy hiking boots or hiking shoes are suggested. Consider bringing water if the weather turns really warm. There are no restrooms near the trailhead.

National Trails Day is an initiative to unite all muscle-powered trail activities with the goal of connecting more people to trails. Each year, on the first Saturday of June, the American Hiking Society and the trails community invite Americans of all ages to walk or hike.
