Lost River Cabins
Get lost in nature with a getaway in one of Lost River State Park’s 26 cabins. The park’s quiet 3,934 acres of woods provide a secluded retreat for nature lovers. Lost River is known for its Cranny Crow overlook on top of Big Ridge Mountain, which offers a commanding view of five counties. Two cabins are wheelchair accessible. Cabins 1, 2, 5-7, 16-18 and 25 are pet-friendly.
Classic cabins and vacation cabins are available all year; Legacy cabins are available from April through October. All cabins include an outdoor campfire ring. Check-in guaranteed by 4 p.m., and check out is by 10 a.m. for all cabins.
Legacy Cabins
Legacy cabins, also known as CCC cabins, are of wood frame or stone construction and feature various room and bedding arrangements. They come with electricity and water, a fully equipped kitchen, fresh linens, bathrooms with showers, wood fireplace and an outside grill.

Classic Cabins
Classic cabins are of wood frame construction and feature various room and bedding arrangements. They have fully equipped kitchens, fresh linens, bathrooms with showers, wood paneled walls, open fireplaces. Forced air heat and air conditioning is available in all classic cabins. Other amenities vary park to park.

Vacation Cabins
Lost River State Park vacation cabins are more modern with heating and air conditioning, gas fireplaces, television, microwaves, and fully equipped kitchens with range, refrigerator/freezer, dinner and cookware. Linens are provided. Cabins at Lost River State Park are open year-round and are ADA accessible.

Primitive Outpost Cabin
This newly renovated ranger cabin located on top of Big Ridge Mountain near the historic Lost River Fire Tower. It is a pack in pack out style cabin with approximately a two mile hike to the cabin. Firewood is included with rental. It has a bunk bed with 2 queen size mattress to sleep 4. Dining room set and chairs provided. Private outdoor latrines on site. There is no electricity, running water, or linens provided. Guests expected to bring all refuse from cabin and leave it as when you arrived. Cabin is pet friendly allowing up to 2 pets maximum for $40 pet fee per night. Arrangements can be made with the stables during their business hours to have a horse ride you up.
