Pipestem Resort State Park sits on the east rim of the Bluestone River Gorge, which carves through the plateau to the scenic Bluestone River 1,200 feet below. You are invited to visit us at the Nature Center which is open on Friday and Saturday 12:30 p.m. – 4:30 pm.

Wednesday, February 19
2:00 p.m. Barney Law Orchard Walk
Meet at the Nature Center for a short hike to the home site and orchard of former park resident, Barney Law. (1 hour)
Thursday, February 20
2:00 p.m. Country Roads Walk
Meet at Park Headquarters for a walking introduction to some of Pipestem’s pre-park history. We will walk along the road and go into the woods to look for old farms and foundations. (1 ½ hours)
Friday, February 21
10:00 a.m. Bird Walk
Meet at the Nature Center for a walk to find some of our feathered friends. There will be a limited number of binoculars to use so bring your own if you have them. All skill levels welcome. (1 hour)
Saturday, February 22
11:00 a.m. Dogwood Hike
Meet at the Nature Center for a walk along the Dogwood Trail. This relatively easy trail strolls through the woods and passes by an old farm pond before returning to the Nature Center. (1 hour)
3:00 p.m. Nature Hunt
Meet at the Nature Center and get the list of objects in to look for in Nature. A prize will be awarded for finding them all. (1/2 – 1 hour)
Sunday, February 23
11:00 a.m. Bird Count
Stop by the Nature Center to observe and count the birds at the feeders with Julie. We will count the highest number of each species seen at a time. Data collected will be submitted to Project FeederWatch for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.
