Christmas Foods & Celebrations: Blennerhassett

“Christmas Foods & Celebrations” is a special holiday program on Sunday, December 10, 2023 at the Blennerhassett Museum. The museum is located in Parkersburg on the corner of 137 Juliana Street and 2nd Street
This illustrated history talk is about “Christmas Foods & Celebrations at Blennerhassett Mansion”. The program begins at 2:00 p.m. at the museum.
Learn more about the festive activities and foods during the Twelve Days of Christmas celebrations in the early 1800s. Blennerhassett Volunteer Educators – Richard and Martha Hartley, as food historians and authors of two early WV foodways books, will share what Christmas was and was not like in the Mid-Ohio Valley at this time period.
Scott Cain will play instrumental Christmas music prior to the start of the program. Light refreshments will be provided after the history talk. The cost is $5.00 per person and advanced reservation is welcomed.
