St. Patrick’s Day weekend finds a variety of free activities to enjoy March 17 and 18, 2023. From birding, a Green Day Hike, to bluegrass, it’s a wee bit `o fun and entertainment to enjoy during your visit.

Wildlife of North America Game
Meet Julie at the Nature Center for a quiz game about North American wildlife. Check out displays at the nature center. Ask about watchable wildlife at Pipestem you may see, hear or encounter.

Join us in the Black Bear Lounge to listen to some folk, bluegrass, and blues tunes.

Bird Count
Stop by the Nature Center to observe and count the birds at the feeders with Julie. We will count the highest number of each species seen at a time. This is a great opportunity to learn about common species and migratory species of Pipestem and to ask questions about where to see birds in the Pipestem areas such as Eagles, etc. Data collected will be submitted to Project FeederWatch for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology.

Green Day Hike – or – Hiking Near the Greens
Meet at the Golf Pro Shop to hike along the first 9-holes of the Championship Golf Course. Deck out in your finest St. Paddy’s Day green! This is a paved surface that is suitable for any age. Participants will be eligible for a green day patch. Aprox. 2 miles.

Programs and activities planned are open to overnight guests at Pipestem Resort and all public.
