Lead Bartender

DUTIES:
Under supervision of the Park Superintendent’s and the Restaurant Manager employee will be available to work all shifts necessary for the management of the bar operations at Cacapon Resort State Park. Supervises and assigns duties to bartending staff. Schedule workers shifts. Assigns work and schedules workers; participates in actual work of keeping the bar areas clean and operating. Inspects area to determine that cleanliness and sanitation standards are met. Completes all paperwork. Is responsible to prepare beverages for patrons and serving them in a timely manner. Mixing beverages using an extensive range of ingredients including liquor, bitters, soda water, sugar, and fruits.
Taking beverage orders as requested from customers, paying close attention to detail. Assessing customers preferences and making drink recommendations. Providing a positive and friendly guest experience by interacting with patrons. Collecting money and processing payment. Checking identification to verify legal age requirements for all customers. Balancing cash receipts. Maintain well stocked bar with an adequate supply of liquor, beer, wine, ice, napkins, straws, glassware, and other accessories. Maintain a sanitary environment, cleaning the bar, tables, chairs, and work area. Organizing the bar area to streamline drink preparation an inventory. Placing orders for liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies. Creating unique drinks. Preparing and serving appetizers, snacks, or other food items for customers at the bar. Complying with all food and beverage regulations. Limiting customer problems by restricting alcohol intake and attempting to curtail inappropriate behavior. Employee will keep all documentation and records as required by supervisor. Will be required to work with other departments for scheduled functions. Perform all related and non-related work as scheduled by supervisor.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
– Must be 21 years of age or older.
– Must possess or successfully complete a WV ABCA Alcohol Server Permit within 6 months of hire dates and maintain the Alcohol Server Permit.
– Must have good public and relations skills.
– Employee available to work weekends, holidays, evenings, split shifts and “on call”.
– Employee will possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
– Pertinent experience is beneficial.
