Community meeting on proposed lodge development within the Beech Fork Dam and Recreation Area

LAVALETTE, WV — West Virginia State Parks will be presenting an update on the proposed 75-room lodge and conference center within the Beech Fork Dam and Recreation Area near Huntington during an open community meeting next Monday, Sept. 30, 2019. The update will include the findings of the market and planning feasibility studies, as well as the results from a public survey.

West Virginia State Parks encourages interested citizens, civic and social groups, business operators, and local government officials to attend and gain insight into the first phase of findings.

The public meeting will run from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Lavalette Elementary School Cafeteria, located at 1150 Beech Fork Road, Lavalette, WV, 25535.

The agenda of the meeting includes an overview of survey findings,
review of planning analysis of the proposed costs, and findings from the market feasibility study.
