Camping is one of the most popular activities at our parks and forests, and the availability of online reservations will make booking your favorite campsite at any state park faster and easier. Historically, campers had to go to great lengths to reserve their site or take a chance that it would be available when they arrived on busy summer weekends. As of April 26, 2019, you can easily select a site on your smartphone, tablet or computer in advance of your trip and be assured it will be available when you arrive.

How to reserve a state park or forest campsite

Start planning your summer adventure to one of our beautiful parks or forests, where you can hike countless miles of trails or cast a line in some of Almost Heaven’s best fishing streams and lakes. But before you pack up your tent, clean out your camper and grab your firewood, make sure to follow these simple steps to reserve your campsite where you and your family will make memories that’ll last a lifetime.

• Use your smartphone, tablet or computer to visit wvstateparks.com and find the park and date selector on the bottom of your screen
• Select which park and date you would like to book your camping trip
• View your campsite options and select a site
• Book your campsite and look forward to your relaxing getaway

Make sure you get your favorite campsite by making your reservation online

If you’ve already reserved a campsite for 2019 using our old mail-in system, your reservation will be honored. But go ahead and take some time to familiarize yourself with the new online booking platform because the old system will be phased out after the 2019 season.
