Weekend Nature Activities: Coopers Rock
July 22 - July 24
July is slipping away at Coopers Rock State Forest but there is still much to explore and experience. Join Naturalist and Certified Interpretive Guide Aubrey Bartman for these nature-based activities planned on July 22-24, 2022.. Participation in any or all hikes and activities is without cost, however children must be accompanied by an adult.
July 22, 2022 – Friday
Meet at the Camp Store in McCollum Campground for some fun. We’ll be playing wildlife bingo – Coopers Rock-style. Lots of fun.
July 23, 2022 – Saturday
Meet at McCollum Campground to see what moths we can see at Coopers Rock. Make sure to bring your camera or smartphone to snap a picture. Sometimes a photograph helps us compare the moth we got to see to a resource book to identify. There are over 800 species of moths in West Virginia. How many will we attract on July 23?
