MOTH TIME
Meet at McCollum Campground to see what moths we can see at Coopers Rock. Make sure to bring your camera or smartphone to snap a picture. Sometimes a photograph helps us compare the moth we got to see to a resource book to identify. There are over 800 species of moths in West Virginia. How many will we attract on July 23?

BE LIKE A BEAR
Meet at the trading post near the overlook to learn more about bears. Do’s and don’ts when encountering bears as well as history of bear population in West Virginia.

When visiting Coopers Rock State Forest and the Bruceton Mills and Morgantown area, take time to visit the Museum of Geology & Natural History. It is located at 1 Mont Chateau Road, Morgantown. Open from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Admission is free and there are dinosaur bones and if you like geology – this is a very cool place to visit.
