Bug Bash Weekend: Chief Logan

July 22, 2022 - July 24, 2022

The annual “Bug Bash” Weekend at Chief Logan State Park Lodge is July 22-24, 2022. Naturalist Lauren Cole invites all ages to join her to learn about some fascinating wildlife commonly known as ‘bugs’. “We are not bashing or mashing anything. We are learning about arthropods, butterflies, moths, fireflies and other insects in a fun way” says Cole.

Join one or all of the ‘Bug Bash’ weekend activities at Chief Logan Lodge.

INSECT LURING
If you missed our luring party on Friday, we’re still inviting insects (moths and such) to our buggy weekend to see what is flying about at Chief Logan. Bring your smart phones or cameras. Insects will be ready for their close up, if we’re quick enough to get their pose. Join us for the entire evening for as you have the opportunity.

Activities are in or begin in Conference Room D at Chief Logan Lodge.
There will be an insect luring light set up in the gazebo or the back patio.
We encourage use of a camera to capture insect images that we use to identify unusual finds.
Children must bring a parent or guardian with them.
Activities are free to attend. Open to the public.
