Take a hike on National Trails Day at Tygart Lake State Park. This 10:00 a.m. hike is led by Jacob Jackson, naturalist/interpreter. We’ll be taking the Dam Trail from the lodge to the overlook at Tygart Dam and back to Tygart Lake Lodge. The morning hike is about two miles.

Sturdy hiking boots or hiking shoes are suggested. A trails day hiking patch is presented at the conclusion of the guided hike to each hiker.

National Trails Day is an event designed to unite all muscle-powered trail activities with the goal of connecting more people to trails. Each year, on the first Saturday of June, the American Hiking Society and the trails community invite Americans of all ages to walk or hike.
