June is WV: Twin Falls

West Virginia’s birthday is June 20 and Twin Falls celebrates the weekend with several nature-based activities. Free to attend and open to the public, join the fun June 18 – 20, 2022. The nature center is open Monday, Thursday – Saturday from 3:00 – 7:00 p.m. and Sunday 3:00-6:00 p.m.

2:00 pm
Falls Trail Hike
Location: Meet at the Trailhead
Let’s learn a little history about the park and the falls and a few things of the nature that surrounds it. The overstory will provide a little shade as we hike.

4:30 pm
Yard Yahtzee
Location: In the yard of the Nature Center
Come play a fun dice game and be the first one to collect all the matches to win!

6:00 pm:
Wonders of the Rainbow (YPP)
Location: Held next to Campground Store at the Fire Circle
Colors are everywhere you look! Rainbows are just one of these beauties. Come learn how nature forms these wonders.

Poison vs. Venom
Location: Held next to Campground Store at the Fire Circle
Ever wonder how to tell the difference between poison and venom? Learn to recognize the differences.

5:30 pm
Dragonfly Craft
Location: At the Lodge in the Old Lobby
Dragonflies are wondrous creatures and super fast flyers. Wings glittering in the sun as they do. Get to know these creatures with by doing a short craft and listening to a presentation. Free to attend.

Come learn about the animals who live here in the state with the seasonal naturalist.

Animal Yoga
Location: Out in the Nature Center Yard
Come for a fun relaxing program at the Nature Center. Animal yoga can help you relax while also making you
