Learn about the Blennerhassett Estate Gardens and Grounds during this new outdoor tour which will begin with a first-person presentation by “Mr. Peter Taylor,” the Blennerhassetts’ English gardener, portrayed by Dick Hartley, Volunteer Educator at the Park. During this tour held on Blennerhassett Island, participants will learn what gardens and other period buildings existed as part of the Blennerhassett Estate in 1806 based on historical findings. Details and features of the Kitchen Garden, Orchard and Pleasure Garden will be shared. A program handout along with garden renderings will be provided. Space is limited; reservations are recommended for this rain or shine event. Cost of this one-hour program is $5.00 for adults. These tours will occur on Saturday, August 14 and Saturday, August 28, 2021.
