Cabins

The Seneca State Forest cabin experience provides a peak through the curtain into pioneer life. The robust mountains of forest will entertain you in these simply cozy accommodations. There is no electricity or running water. Showers and coin-operated laundry machines are available in the forest office. Designated pet-friendly cabins are available. Check-in begins at 4 p.m., and check-out is by 10 a.m. for all cabins.

Fire Tower

One of West Virginia State Park’s most iconic attractions, the Thorny Mountain Fire Tower, is the pinnacle of a breathtaking view. Day or night, this 65-foot tower provides a 360-degree oversight of the entire forest. With two cots and an accommodation of up to four guests, the fire tower is reservable for overnight stays between May and October.

 

The Thorny Mountain Fire Tower is a popular attraction and books up fast. Online bookings become available at 12:00 AM on the first day of the month, one year in advance. If there are no available reservation dates, it is already booked up.
