One of the newest additions to the West Virginia State Parks system, the Elk River Trail, is a 73-mile stretch from Clendenin to Gassaway, spanning across Braxton, Clay and Kanawha counties. Running through the beautiful Elk River, the trail provides easy access for canoeing, kayaking and fishing.
