WonderFALL Walk at Tygart Lake
It’s so wonderFALL! A hike at Tygart Lake State Park celebrates autumn. Jacob Jackson leads this walk, one of many WonderFALL Walks planned and led by park naturalists in October at West Virginia state parks and state forests.
Jackson will meet hikers at 2:00 p.m. at Tygart Lake Lodge. Participants are encouraged to bring water and snacks. Please wear closed-toe shoes or hiking boots; open-toe footwear is discouraged. The hike activity is open to the public and fee free.
Stops along the way include interpretive stories and information about fall colors, vegetation, migratory birds and wildlife that may be observed at the state park and lake. Attendees receive a WonderFALL patch at the conclusion of the hike for participating.
