Weekend Park Fun: Bluestone

Bluestone State Park offers a variety of nature-oriented activities July 23-24, 2022. From Tye dye to astronomy, Naturalist Jonathan Lipscomb invites family and friends to participate in outdoor fun. Activities are open to the public and free to attend unless there is a craft fee.
Saturday – July 23, 2022
6-8pm
Tye dye
Meet at the swimming pool to create a one of a kind souvenir.
Shirts are $10 for a Bluestone State Park shirt, $5 if you bring your own.
8:30-10pm
Mothing
Sheets and lights will be set up behind the activities building to help us observe and learn about the cool moths and night time insects in our park. Bluestone State Park has scheduled this activity to coincide with National Moth Week. *ypp
Sunday – July 24, 2022

8:15-9pm
Dusk Hike
Meet at the activities building to take a stroll along the cabin and turnpike trail learn about nocturnal animals and flowers. You’ll be surprised how many things that we may see when its almost dark. *ypp
9:30-10pm
Astronomy
Join me at the activities building to learn about the stars, planets, and telescopes. We’ll keep our fingers crossed for clear skies. *ypp
