10:30 am- Pipestem Heritage *YPP
Meet at the Nature Center for an in depth tour of our heritage structures and to see pictures from the past taken in our own park of families and life before Pipestem.

7:00 – 9:00 pm – Live Music!
Featuring Corey Lee McQuade
Outside of the Black Bear Lounge @ Pipestem Resort State Park
Corey Lee McQuade, the other flatpicking dobro man, carries on the dobro style of Tut Taylor flatpicking the resophonic guitar aka dobro. He is a singer/songwriter from Lewisburg, WV and currently residing in Athens, WV. His solo performances include fingerpicking and flatpicking guitar, flatpicking dobro, and clawhammer banjo. His original songs are inspired by old time traditional music, local history, and folk singer/songwriters.

SATURDAY, September 30, 2023

2:00 pm- Nature Hunt *YPP
Meet at the Nature Center. Get your hands on a list of objects to look for in Nature. Once you
find them, you receive a prize! Nature Hunt is fun! (30 minutes)

5:00 pm- Wildlife Game *YPP
Meet at the Nature Center for a quiz game about North American wildlife. Fun and it’s for everyone to enjoy. (30 min)

SUNDAY, October 1, 2023

8:30 am- Church Service
Meet us at the Amphitheater for Sunday service.

5:00 pm- An Extraordinary Ordinary Moth
Meet in the Activity Shelter behind the Nature Center to hear a storybook story about a moth. Then color a picture of a moth any color you want. A great activity for kids or adults who love moths. YPP

Young People for Parks
YPP is an environmental education program for children ages 6-16. To complete the program, participants attend three specified activities during their stay. These programs are indicated by *YPP. For more information visit the Nature Center.
