Sands of Time

May 22, 2020 @ 1:01 am

Blackwater Falls State Park’s “Sands of Time” is an outdoor interpretive program at Pendleton Point Overlook. Naturalist Paulita Cousin hosts an introduction to the geology of the area. Attendees can view the massive sandstone formations formed millions of years ago that are largely responsible for the high falls and deep gorge of the Blackwater River. The naturalist will be at the location from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. The presentation begins at 11:00 a.m. There is no fee to participate.

Activities planned will observe social distancing. Please honor guidance provided by park naturalist based on directives that have been established by the Governor and are currently in place. There is adequate space at Pendleton Point Overlook.
