Pollinator Gardening!

April 30

Participate in pollinator gardening led by Paulita Cousin, park naturalist, and assisted by Brittany and Aspen.

We’ll be preparing and planting a pollinator garden near the Nature Center at Blackwater Falls State Park. We’ll also identify and remove unwanted plants from the pollinator zone. Questions about flowers and grasses that are attractive to pollinators are answered. Seed sources, how to prepare sites for planting, the time it take for an area to fully develop, and more can be part of the day.

If you like butterflies, hummingbirds, and insects, then you’ll want to help in the creation and maintenance of our pollinator zones. Come summer time it will be all abuzz and aflutter. Join us.
