July Finale’: Coopers Rock - July 29, 2022

July 29, 2022 - July 31, 2022

July is coming to an end at Coopers Rock State Forest but we’re still exploring the forest and its diversity. Join Naturalist and Certified Interpretive Guide Aubrey Bartman for these nature-based activities planned on July 29-31, 2022.. Participation in any or all hikes and activities is without cost, however children must be accompanied by an adult.

MACRO FUN!
Meet at the Reservoir Parking Area across from McCollum Campground to learn about tiny invertebrates in the reservoir! What animals that lack a backbone will we discover?

July 30, 2022 – Saturday
6:30 PM
CAMPFIRE FUN
Meet at the Camp Store in McCollum Campground and sing songs, tell stories and have fun.

JULY 31, 2022 – Sunday
2:30 PM
WILDLIFE IN COOPERS ROCK STATE FOREST
Gather at the Trading Post to learn about the wildlife you may see in the forest. We make learning fun.

When visiting Coopers Rock State Forest and the Bruceton Mills and Morgantown area, take time to visit the Museum of Geology & Natural History. It is located at 1 Mont Chateau Road, Morgantown. Open from 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM Monday through Friday. Admission is free and there are dinosaur bones and if you like geology – this is a very cool place to visit.
