A new moon on July 28, 2022 welcomes you to dining at Holly River State Park’s Farm-to-Table dinner.
Featuring locally sourced produce and products, attendees in addition to an amazing dinner may take advantage of learning about planting crops by the moon phases from master naturalist Jane Birdsong and other activities planned during the weekend. A new moon is a waxing moon and annual flowers and fruits and vegetables that bear crops above the ground fare better planted between a new moon and a full moon.
The Farm-to-Table dinner at Holly River is the first of several unique dinners planned at many of West Virginia’s state parks. Watch for details added closer to this unique dining experience and for other Farm-to-Table dinner dates and locations.
