Dancing with “Lou Mauiri” is back and happening in 2022 at Blackwater Falls State Park on July 27 at 7:30 p.m. at Blackwater Falls Lodge.
Lou Mauiri is a West Virginia icon and proof that dancing keeps you spry and young at heart.
Lou Maiuri was born in 1928 in Montgomery, WV. The 93 year old is an award-winning flatfoot/clog dancer and square dance caller. Lou is also a recipient of the Vandalia Award, the highest folk honor given in state of West Virginia. Move to the traditional commands of West Virginia’s oldest professional square caller with some squares, two step and simple line dance. Fun for the entire Family. Lou is also an avid hunter and canner of all things vegetable from his garden.
Individuals with two left feet will have no problem. Dancing shoes are not required. Join us for a few hours of fun. There is no fee to attend.
