39th Annual Sue Browning Wildflower Hike - April 2, 2022

April 2, 2022

Spring hikes to observe wildflowers of Chief Logan State Park continues with the 39th year of hikes offered known as the Sun Browning Wildflower hikes. Lead by Lauren Cole and volunteers, two hikes are planned.

The 9:00 a.m. hike will be on the Woodpecker Trail with a distance of three miles. This trail is modertate to strenous but the energy to hike this trail is rewarded with spring beauty.

The 1:00 p.m. Hike will be on the Fitness and Shawnee trails. This hike is about two miles but easy and recommended for any age. With a one gentle uphill area, often spring wildflowers surprise hikers in unusual locations. The hikes are free to attend. Plan on being at the Museum in the Park at least 15 minutes prior to the hike start. Wear appropriate footwear and clothing for whatever the weather may be.

Please note: This special hike day begins at the Museum in the Park and not at Chief Logan Lodge.
