Spring Clean Up: Beech Fork
April 2 @ 8:00 am - 4:00 pm
For more than 17 years, Beech Fork State Park has featured a spring clean-up in April. The Annual Make It Shine Day is scheduled for April 2, 2022 beginning at 8:00 a.m. A full day of volunteer service that includes lunch and concludes at 4:00p.m. Event will be held rain or shine. Please wear boots and work clothes. Those with questions about the event may call Assistant Superintendent, Dave Pruitt at 304-528-5794 or email [email protected]
Volunteers that pre-registering to participate receive free camping for Friday, April 1, 2022 and Saturday, April 2, 2022. “For families that cannot camp with us on Make It Shine Day, a free camping certificate for two nights will be given to the group or family at the end of the clean-up day (1 per family). All participants must pre-register for a campsite to be included in the free camping weekend. This is the 12th year we have offered free camping for volunteers that preregister for the public service event. Spring camping has some of the best weather and cleanup events often introduce volunteers to consider earlier camping.
All ages, families and individuals work together for the betterment of Beech Fork State Park. Past cleanup days have proven to make this event not only productive, but enjoyable for all participants. We are very appreciative for the support shown by state park patrons in this event and looking forward to the 2022 cleanup.
WV Make It Shine Statewide Cleanup is a collaborative program by the Department of Environmental Protection and the Division of Highways that teams with organizations or other agencies for spring cleaning. The Beech Fork State Park event represents the Department of Natural Resources.
