Chief Logan State Park

Chief Logan is the place to be if you and your honey are into four-wheeling adventures. The park is only a short drive from the Bearwallow trailhead — part of the 600-mile Hatfield McCoy Trail system that winds through the mountains of southern West Virginia. Chief Logan also offers more than 30 miles of hiking trails.

Make plans to attend the park’s Valentine Party on Feb. 9. Overnight accommodations include a modern lodge with full-service restaurant, indoor swimming pool, fitness room and hot tub.

So, Valentine’s is a perfect time for a stroll along the mile-long Falls Trail loop. Known for the restored pioneer homestead that serves as the park’s crown jewel, Twin Falls features a lodge with a full-service restaurant, indoor swimming pool, hot tub and fitness center.

Visit the park on Feb. 16 and enjoy a Valentines weekend dance with appetizers and refreshments. Overnight and weekend packages are available.
