Museums and Historical Sites
Downtown Hinton is rich with coal and train history. There’s a railroad museum, veterans’ museum, antique theatre, and dozens of intriguing boutiques and antique shops. There’s also Bramwell, a Victorian town with lots of character. At one time, more millionaires lived here than anywhere else in America. Numerous coal baron mansions are still standing. During Christmas and spring, several of them open for tours, too. The Corner Shop ice cream parlor is another delight. Visit for homemade desserts, entrees and drinks.
