Bluestone Wildlife Management Area
Set on 17,632 acres adjacent to Bluestone Lake, Bluestone WMA is a popular fishing spot, with access to boating and fishing on the lake as well as stocked trout fishing in Indian Creek. Hunting is permitted here. The area has numerous hiking and equestrian trails, and more than 200 primitive campsites and picnic areas.
Grandview
Part of the New River Gorge National River, Grandview is known for its scenic overlooks and hiking trails. It is also home to the Theatre West Virginia outdoor drama if you’re interested in catching a show!
When visiting this area check out the New River Gorge National Park and Preserve and Sandstone Falls. Established in 1978, New River Gorge National River was redesignated as New River Gorge National Park and Preserve in 2021.
Hinton Railroad Museum
The museum showcases artifacts and photos from the C&O steam engine era and a John Henry wood carving exhibit. Children will especially enjoy the model railroad.

Three Rivers Avian Center
This Hinton facility devoted to wild bird conservation hosts educational programs and photography seminars. It is open for public tours on select days or for special events.
