Mother’s Day Dinners at West Virginia State Park Restaurants

West Virginia is the official birthplace of Mother’s Day, first organized by Anna Jarvis in 1908 in Grafton to honor her mother’s community health work. West Virginia State Parks is proud to be part of that longstanding history and tradition by offering special Mother’s Day dinners and buffets each year. The following state park restaurants are participating in 2026.

Chief Logan State Park

Celebrate Mother’s Day with a memorable meal at Chief Logan State Park. The Whispering Ridge Restaurant will offer a holiday buffet featuring creamy chicken, steak and gravy, broccoli fettuccine alfredo, mashed potatoes and more.

  • Price: $25 for adults and $12.50 for kids 3-10

North Bend State Park

Bring Mom to beautiful North Bend State Park for lunch at the North Bend Restaurant. Enjoy a menu featuring fried chicken, house-made meatloaf, scalloped potatoes, green beans, rolls, a salad bar, desserts and non-alcoholic beverages.

  • Price: $25 for adults, $12.50 for kids 4-12, Free for kids 3 and younger with a paying adult

Cacapon Resort State Park

Treat Mom to a delicious buffet at Prospects Restaurant, featuring a lineup of comforting favorites and chef‑crafted specialties. Enjoy Sautéed Tenderloin Tips with Mushrooms and Onions, Bourbon‑Glazed Boneless Chicken Thighs, Broiled Lemon Pepper Cod, Vegetable Lasagna, Herb Mashed Potatoes, Garlic Linguine, Roasted Brussels Sprouts and more!

A limited menu will also be available from 5 PM to 8 PM.

  • Price: $32.99 for adults, $14.99 for kids 12 and younger

Twin Falls Resort State Park

Treat Mom to a buffet at the Azalea Room in Twin Falls Lodge, featuring roasted turkey with dressing, house-made meatloaf, glazed ham and more.

Seating times are available at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m.

Pipestem Resort State Park

Make this Mother’s Day unforgettable with a scenic celebration at McKeever Lodge’s Bluestone Dining Room.

The buffet will feature cheesy bacon ranch chicken, salmon piccata, roasted pork tenderloin, creamy mashed potatoes, honey‑glazed carrots, sweet potato casserole, green goddess gnocchi, spinach artichoke dip, buttermilk cornbread, panzanella salad and more!

A special Mother’s Day cocktail, the Strawberry Champagne Mule, will also be available for one day only. It features fresh strawberries, mint, Tito’s, ginger beer, champagne, and strawberry poppers.
