Youth Fishing Derby: Cacapon Resort State Park - April 16, 2026

Celebrate Kids to Parks Day on April 16 at Cacapon Resort State Park. All participants will earn a Kids to Parks Day sticker. The event is at the Upper Lake with sign-up at 9 a.m., and the Derby begins at 10 a.m. Trout will be stocked from the local Ridge Fish Hatchery before the Derby begins. Prizes awarded for length, weight, and how many fish caught in the following age categories: 6 & under, 7-9, 10-12 and ages 13-14.
Helpful items to bring are a fishing pole, bait, water, sunscreen and bugspray.
