Are you a youth (age 13-18) thinking of going into an environmental profession? Are you ready for this year’s Youth Challenge? Join us for the 48th annual weekend of learning at the 2023 Youth Environmental Conference at Cacapon State Park, October 6 – 8, 2023.
The weekend includes speakers in the environmental field, tours of environmental industry and places of interest in the area. Among the activities planned for this year’s conference is a Saturday field trip with stops at Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, Cool Spring Nature Preserve and Ridge State Fish Hatchery. The weekend also will feature environmental programs and guest speakers.
The weekend focuses is for middle school and high school students, 13 – 18 years of age. Youth Environmental Program Scholarships are available as well as enrolling with a direct registration fee.
The Youth Environmental Conference and Program is made possible by the West Virginia Division of Environmental Protection (WVDEP) outreach programs. Cacapon Resort State Park is this year’s host site.
