Wings of Wonder-Live Birds of Prey: Hawks Nest State Park - August 9, 2026

Three Rivers Avian Center (TRAC) is live at Hawks Nest State Park on Sunday, August 9th at 3:30 p.m. The educational birds are a great opportunity to learn what birds say “who cooks for me, who cooks for you all?” as well as meeting other raptors.
This nature program is all about raptors native to West Virginia: hawks, eagles, falcons, and owls. You’ll learn about the habitat, diet and behavior of each bird presented, the most common causes of injury to each species and the laws protecting these special birds.
There is no fee to attend. Open to the public, the program lasts about an hour and is staged at the Midland Trail Shelter. This is the picnic shelter next to the lodge. Questions are welcomed. This is a family friendly event. An excellent presentation for all ages. Join us with Three Rivers Avian Center and to meet the birds of prey.
