Wings of Wonder – Birds of Prey

March 1, 2019 @ 8:01 pm

“Who cooks for me, who cooks for you all?” What bird says this phrase – why an owl of course? Do you know which owl? It is a Birds of Prey Education Program tonight at Pipestem State Park that features live birds you can see in West Virginia and to learn about these owls, hawks and eagles.

You’ll learn about the habitat, diet and behavior of each bird presented, the most common causes of injury to each species and the laws protecting these special birds. No fee to attend. Open to the public. 7:00 p.m. in the Cardinal Room a Pipestem’s McKeever Lodge. It’s a special Saturday evening at the park. Join us.

Light refreshments follow the program. Conversation shared about eagles observed at today’s survey and stories is encouraged.

Presented by Three Rivers Avian Center (www.tracwv.org) of Brooks WV; a non-profit organization committed to the rehabilitation of injured raptors and their return to the wild.
