Pipestem Resort sits on the east rim of the Bluestone River Gorge, which carves through the plateau to the scenic Bluestone River 1,200 feet below. Visit the Nature Center, which is open Wednesday – Sunday, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm except for times when other activities listed below are scheduled.

Open to the public, spend time at the exhibits and heritage structures and sit a spell in our West Virginia made rocking chairs and watch the birds.

Stop by the Nature Center to observe and count the birds at the feeders. We will count the highest number of each species seen at a time. Data collected will be submitted to Project FeederWatch for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. In addition this week’s bird counts will be submitted as part of the Annual Great Backyard Bird Count.
