The Green Day Hikes – Pipestem Resort State Park - March 14, 2026

March 14 at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.

It’s time again for the Annual Green Day Hike! This year, we will have two hikes to choose from, or join us on both! Feel free to deck out in your best St. Paddy’s Day green! Participants will receive a special Green Day Hike patch (or one for each hike)! Please dress appropriately for the weather.

11 AM: Dogwood Trail

Hike Meet at the Nature Center for an interpretive nature walk through the woods to look for and discuss green things in nature. This hike is 0.6 miles long with some rocky terrain and hills and will take about 1.5 hours.

2 PM: Lake Shore Hike

Meet in the lobby of McKeever Lodge for our Annual Green Day Hike at Pipestem Resort State Park. Join us as we hike around Long Branch Lake on the Lake Shore Trail, looking for green things in nature and signs of spring emerging. This trail is approximately three miles and will take about 1.5 to two hours.
