Spring Clean-Up – Beech Fork State Park

The 2025 WV Make It Shine Statewide Cleanup is sponsored by the Department of Environmental Protection and the Division of Highways. If you are interested in participating in the Beech Fork State Park Spring Cleanup please read the material below.
This will be the 16th year we have offered free camping and hope that this will bring out folks that normally don’t camp this early in the year. Over the
past several years with this clean up, we have removed over 50 tons of garbage and hundreds of tires.
Folks young and not so young, families, and individuals all working together for the betterment of Beech Fork State Park has proven to make this event not only productive, but enjoyable for all participants. We are very appreciative for the support shown by state park patrons in this event and looking forward to our clean up in 2025.
Other Details:
Free camping will be available for Friday, April 4th and Saturday, April 5th, 2025.
For families that cannot camp with us on the above dates, a free camping certificate for two nights will be given to the group or family at the end of the clean-up day. (1 per family)
The cleanup is one day on Saturday, April 5, 2025 at 8 a.m. and ends around 4 p.m.
Lunch will be from noon to 1 p.m. and will be provided by the park.
All participants are required to fill out a volunteer agreement form.
Garbage will be picked up in several different areas throughout the park.
All participants will need to pre-register for a campsite to be included in the free camping weekend.
This event will be held rain or shine. Please wear boots and work clothes.
