Each year Beech Fork State Park has a photography contest as part of nature-based programming and discovery. With so much to photograph, from wildlife to landscapes, we encourage amateur photographers to enter their favorite park photos. Photos can be new or enter existing ones, but the photo must have been taken at Beech Fork State Park. For a registration form and additional entry information, email [email protected]
Brief guidelines about the photography activity:
Contest dates are from July 8 to September 2, 2019.
All photographs must be taken within Beech Fork State Park property during the contest.
Subject matter includes wildlife, plants, landscapes, insects, and aquatic life. Photographs with human subjects and those that are not suitable for all ages will be disqualified.
Beech Fork State Park reserves the right to display the entries, but they will not be used for revenue generating purposes. Photographers retain creative rights to their work.
Each participant is allowed up to 10 entries. The person entering the contest must be the one who took the photograph. All entries must be submitted in a digital format.
Each entry will be judged against all other entries in a blind judging. The judges will not know who took the photograph. Decisions will be made on quality, composition, and lighting.
There will be prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place.
