Paper Airplane Flying Contest – Pipestem Resort State Park - May 30, 2026

Pipestem Resort State Park hosts the family-friendly Paper Airplane Flying Contest, the second in a six-part series to find the regional “Champion of All Paper Flyers.” This free event invites all ages to compete across three categories: Junior Aviators (12 and under), Teenage Pilots (13–17), and Master Engineers (18 and over). All planes must be built on-site with provided materials, ensuring a level playing field. Competitors will build and fly two types of planes: “Jetfighters” (standard 8 1/2″ x 11″ paper for speed/maneuvers) and “JumboJets” (larger 11″ x 17″ paper for distance/glide).
Division champions earn points toward the Grand Championship title. Join us for a day of fun, folding, and high-flying excitement!
