National Trails Day Hike: Watoga

June 4, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 1:00 pm

The National Trails Day Hike at Watoga State Park ventures out on the Bearpen Trail Loop. Starting at 10:00 a.m., June 4, 2022, meet naturalist/activity coordinator Lora Morgan at the trailhead located across from Cabin No. 10. This is a 4¾ mile hike that is moderately difficult. “We’ll pace ourselves and enjoy time outdoors hiking at Watoga.”

The hike is free to attend, family friendly and open to the public. Please wear closed toed walking/hiking shoes. Sandals, flip-flops, slides and open-toed shoes are discouraged. We always recommend packing a filled water bottle and a snack.

Participants receive a Trails Day patch at the conclusion of the hike. Our park visitors practice Leave No Trace principles when hiking at Watoga.
