National Trails Day Hike: Cedar Creek
June 3, 2023 @ 10:00 am – 11:30 am
Cedar Creek State Park will be hosting a National Trails Day Hike June 3, 2023. Let’s get started at 10:00 a.m. and meet at park headquarters by the ponds.
Enjoy this outing with naturalist Della Moreland on the Park View Trail and Fisherman’s Trail. This activity will be roughly a 2 mile hike that will take around 1.5 hours of outdoor time. The level of difficulty for this hike is moderate at both beginning and end of Park View Trail, while Fisherman’s Trail is a flat trail around the ponds. It should be a fun morning.
We encourage wearing boots or closed toed shoes. Bringing water is always encouraged.
There is no fee to participate. Attendees completing the hike received a 2023 trails day patch.
National Trails Day® occurs on the first Saturday in June. It is a day of public events aimed at advocacy and trail service. The celebration is led by the American Hiking Society and 2023 marks the 31st year of the initiative.
