July Farewell: Twin Falls

You’re invited to these nature programs at Twin Falls Resort State Park July 28-29, 2022. Activities begin at the nature center unless indicated. The nature center is open Thursday – Saturday from 3-7PM and Sunday from 3-6PM.

Thursday – July 28, 2022
3:30 pm
Falls Trail Hike (YPP)
Meet at the Trailhead
Take a trip through the woods and add a little learning to it. Learn about the woods around you and a little history about the park while out there.

6:00 pm
Turtle Talk (YPP)
Held at the Lodge in the old Lobby
West Virginia has a wide variety of turtle species within the state. Join the Seasonal Naturalist in a short talk about these amazing creatures. Participants will receive a coloring sheet and take a pledge at the end of the talk.

Friday – July 29, 2022
3:30 pm: Pollinators (YPP)
Meet at the Nature Center
Pollinators are important for so many reasons. Taking a walk to the pollinator field we will learn a little about what they do. Also we learn about what types for pollinators you can find here.

Butterfly Craft (YPP)
Held in the Old lobby at the Lodge
Learn all about a wide variety of butterfly species that can be found here in the park.

YPP is the Young People for Parks program for youth 6-16 years of age. However, all programs are open to any age. Public welcome. Fee free.
