Hidden History: Babcock Grist Mill Open House

Come and go as you please to see the Glade Creek Grist Mill inside and out on Saturday, October 14, 2023. Autumn colors should be beautiful this time of year in the mill area and throughout Fayette County.
The miller will be on-hand for informal discussions about the history of this structure and how the mill works. Visit Babcock State Park from 10:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. today, however, the miller takes a Noon – 1:00 p.m. break. There is no charge for this activity.
This is one of the many 15th annual Hidden History Happenings celebrating Appalachian heritage in Southern West Virginia with events planned from September 9 – October 15, 2023 and organized by the National Park Service, New River Gorge National Park & Preserve.
