Happy Labor Day Weekend. September has arrived! You’ll find these nature-themed activities offered at Twin Falls Resort on Labor Day Weekend, September 1 – 4, 2022. Join Tammy and Quianna are your program hosts listed, with activities at the nature center unless noted otherwise. Participation is free and open to the public.
The nature center is open Thursday – Sunday from noon until 3:00 p.m.
THURSDAY, September 1, 2022
9:00am.
Birding for beginners.
Meet the Naturalist in the main lobby for a short walk around the lodge and surrounding areas to see what birds call Twin Falls home. Binoculars are useful but not required, so if you have them bring them along. Allow 45 minutes to an hour.

Pollinators (YPP)
Held at Campground Fire Circle
Pollinators are an important part of nature. Pollinators (insects and other creatures) fortifies our plant and food sources. Come enjoy a short talk about the many pollinators we have here in West Virginia.

Turtle Talk (YPP)
Held in the Monarch Lobby at the Lodge
Turtles are amazing creatures that can be found within the park. Enjoy a short talk and color sheet of our only land turtle and pledge to help them.

Meet at the Trailhead
Nature trail is a wonderful place to see the wildlife in the park. Take a hike and learn a little about wildlife at Twin Falls.

Such grace in a dragonfly’s flight. This is a short presentation that includes a fun craft about
these amazing creatures.

Falls Trail Hike
Meet at the Trailhead
Take a mile hike and learn about some history and nature at Twin Falls. Close toed shoes recommended
on the hike.

Wonders of the Rainbow
Held on the Porch of the Nature Center
Rainbows are just one of nature’s magnificent beauties. There will be a craft while the talk is happening.

Yard Games
Held in the Nature Center Yard
Play outdoor Yahtzee or cornhole. Family friend. Join the fun.
5:30 pm
Snakes a Plenty
Held at the Campground Fire Circle
Snakes are something that can be found mostly anywhere.
Come to a short presentation on which snakes you can find in West Virginia.
Don’t forget. The golf course is open, the restaurant has a great menu and the trails welcome you to hike. Enjoy being at Twin Falls on Labor Day weekend.
