If dancing a jig on or near St. Patrick’s Day isn’t your thing, perhaps a pleasant Green Day Hike at Tygart Lake State Park suits your fancy.
Join naturalist and storyteller Jacob Jackson on the annual Green Day Hike on Saturday, March 18, 2023 beginning at 10:00AM. Meet at the park’s nature center. This year’s hike is on the Ridge Trail and the Lake Trail and it is about two miles of walking/hiking.
There’s a Green Day Hike patch for each hiker at the end of the activity; a patch choice between a sorrel/shamrock or a trillium, both sporting a trio of petals, leaves or sepals. This activity is open to the public and without charge.
If arriving earlier or staying later, consider dining at The Lodge restaurant at Tygart Lake.
