In the month of March, West Virginia begins greening with emerging buds and blooms. Buds and blooms at Cass will just be waking up.

A Green Day Hike at Cass Scenic Railroad is planned to start at 1:00PM. Meet Assistant Superintendent Bob Waybright at the Cass Visitors Center to set foot for a hike in March. Please wear sturdy footwear and layer for the weather. Waybright enjoys sharing the identification of flowers, trees and wildlife that may be observed during this outdoor activity. Open to the public and all ages welcomed. Dogs that accompany hikers should be on leash and business bags are provided if you forgot to bring one.

Each participant completing this hike with leader Waybright receive a Green Day Hike patch.
