Girl Scouts Love State Parks is a nationwide event that introduces girls in the scouting program to environmental activities at state park host sites. North Bend State Park is a host site for the Black Diamond Council’s Girl Scouts Love State Parks day event on September 10, 2022.

Girls will connect with nature in fun and meaningful ways with activities offered for scout troops, family and friends. Some activities center around environmental education. Visits to the park nature center or and 1½ mile hike on the North Bend Rail Trail is planned. Registered attendees will participate in a “Leave No Trace” camp scene investigation activity and some will take the Tree Promise and help plant a tree. Outdoor cooking skills demonstration and other outdoor games, rafts and adventures are part of the day’s event.

To participate in Girl Scout Love State Parks Day the age range is from grade K – 12 and attendees must register in advance at https://www.bdgsc.org/en/sf-events-repository/2022/girl-scouts-love-state-parks-.html.

Space may be limit for some activities. All details of the event are posted on the Black Diamond Girl Scout Council website. There is a fee associated with attendance. Registration must be completed on or before August 21, 2022.

Girl Scouts Love State Parks is an event organized and managed by the Black Diamond Council. North Bend State Park cannot take registration information for event participation.
