Full Moon Hike: Pipestem Resort State Park

Meet the Naturalist at 7:15 p.m. in front of the 18 Hole Golf Pro Shop for a Full Moon Hike. The September 2024 Harvest Moon will occur on Tuesday, September 17 @ 7:24 p.m. The Harvest Moon will appear orange as it rises above the golf course. In North America, it is so named because it is the moon closest to Autumn equinox and time to harvest crops. This walk will follow the paved golf cart along holes 1-9. Bring a flashlight and dress appropriately for the weather. The hike will be approximately 2.5 miles, or about 1.5 hours.
