Bats of West Virginia
Paulita, the naturalist encourages you to visit with her for an introduction to some bats found in West Virginia. No live bats but lots to learn about these mammals. 30 minutes. YPP

Bat Scratch Craft & Movie
Victor will meet and great you to scratch your own bat to hang up as a decoration. Craft fee: $1.00
Plus a feature movie about puppies that find themselves in a mysterious mansion. Rated G. About 1.5 hours.

Ghost Stories
A premier ghost story teller, retired professor of English at WVU, JoAnn Dadisman tells spine-chilling stories of Appalachian encounters and other tales of woe. Join us at the Harold Walters Nature Center where the lights will dim, a cracking fire sets the mood and a cool breeze whistles through the room as visitors are gathered, and a gentle tap, tap, tap a sign for ghost stories to begin. The experience is free and the public is welcome to attend. Following the Ghost Stories is the Egg Haunt– Join the naturalist as she gathers everybody together and sends them off in search of Halloween themed eggs. For children up to 12 years of age. This activity is free and the public is welcome to participate. Ghost stories is about 1 hour and egg haunt about 30 minutes. The egg haunt is outside so bring a jacket and wear sturdy shoes. Costumes encouraged but not mandatory.
